STRESS MANAGEMENT

How Can Stress Management Help You?

As Stress Management Trainer, trained through the Stress Management Institute (UK), I am able to help you work towards managing the stress in your life more effectively.

Stress is a huge health burden and has been linked to many health conditions, as well as chronic pain, poor sleep and the perpetuation of longterm illness. Stress is a normal part of life, and to eliminate stress completely is not the objective here. We rely on some degree of stress in our lives for optimal functioning and it can help drive us towards success. However, chronic stress is not so helpful and can really take its toll on the body, particularly in the long term, leading to cortisol dysfunction and a constant feeling of being 'on alert' as well as feeling completely exhausted.

Stress management involves looking at aspects of your life which cause stress, including an evaluation over stressful events that have taken place over the past year, and also a self-evaluation of lifestyle factors, behaviours and habits. There are different types of guided relaxation techniques which will be supplied to you at each session, and these need to be practiced regularly in order to have the desired impact. Like anything, you get out of it what you put in. It is a structured programme and is made up of eight one-hour sessions. This can be extended if required.

For more information, why not schedule a FREE 20 minute Discovery Session in order to discuss if undertaking a stress management programme with me is right for you.

Please note, I am not a counsellor or a psychologist/psychiatrist. I am offering stress management coaching as a certified stress management trainer, trained by The Stress Management Institute, UK. If you are aware that you have a mental health disorder/condition or have been diagnosed as such (e.g. bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia etc) then I would advise seeking the guidance of your GP/MD in the first instance, and seek support from a trained counsellor/psychologist/psychiatrist as required.
